Psalm 143
Chorus:
Answer me quickly, Lord,
My spirit is failing
Do not hide Your face from me
Or I'll be like those in the grave
Let me hear mercy, Lord,
Lovingkindness at daybreak
In Your way won't You lead me
For I trust in You to save
Hear my prayer, oh Lord,
Give ear to my pleading
Righteous and faithful You are
So answer my entreaty
Judge me not, oh Lord,
For I am still Your servant
No one alive is righteous in Your sight
Chorus:
Answer me quickly, Lord,
My spirit is failing
Do not hide Your face from me
Or I'll be like those in the grave
Let me hear mercy, Lord,
Lovingkindness at daybreak
In Your way won't You lead me
For I trust in You to save
Hear my prayer, oh Lord,
Give ear to my pleading
Righteous and faithful You are
So answer my entreaty
Judge me not, oh Lord,
For I am still Your servant
No one alive is righteous in Your sight
CHORUS
My enemy has pursued
My soul; my life he’s pulverized
Pushed in the dark like a tomb
Like those who long ago had died
My spirit weak and frail,
My heart inside is horrified
I cling to hope, rememb’ring the days of old
CHORUS
I meditate on Your deeds
I ponder what Your hands have done
Spread out my hands to receive,
I thirst as one in desert suns
I lift my soul to You,
Deliver me from enemies
I seek in You protection, rest and refuge
CHORUS
Teach me to do Your will
You are my God, Your Spirit good
Leads me in level fields.
Revive me like You said you would
For Your name’s sake, oh Lord
In righteousness save from distress
Destroy my enemies; I am Your servant, oh Lord
CHORUS
Psalm 32
Chorus:
The Lord who loves me whole
Longs to lead me
And guide me into His way
So I will bare my soul,
I will admit my sin
To receive His freedom and grace
Blessed are you whose sins are forgiven,
Whose wrongs are out of sight
Whose slate the Lord has wiped clean
And whose heart is empty of lies
When I was silent and swallowed my sin
My strength was drained away
Lord, Your hand was heavy on me
Like a summer's heat night and day
Chorus:
The Lord who loves me whole
Longs to lead me
And guide me into His way
So I will bare my soul,
I will admit my sin
To receive His freedom and grace
Blessed are you whose sins are forgiven,
Whose wrongs are out of sight
Whose slate the Lord has wiped clean
And whose heart is empty of lies
When I was silent and swallowed my sin
My strength was drained away
Lord, Your hand was heavy on me
Like a summer's heat night and day
CHORUS
I didn’t hide from You my iniquity,
Showed You the evil within.
I confessed my transgression to You;
You forgave the guilt of my sin.
So let the godly pray to You
Whenever You may be found
When great waters flow in like a flood,
They may not be pulled in and drowned
CHORUS
You are my hiding place from trouble
You will preserve me
You surround me with victory songs;
Your deliverance we sing
Lord, You instruct me and ever will teach me
The way that I should go;
You will give Your counsel to me,
Your eye on me wherever I go
CHORUS
Don’t be a mule with no understanding,
A horse who has no sense.
They will never come near without
Bit and bridle to keep them in check.
Many the sorrows that come to the wicked,
But those who trust the Lord
Are surrounded with unfailing love,
So rejoice, you upright in heart!
CHORUS
