We are walking in the deep, deep dark
Stagger suddenly beneath this weight
Has the future ever seemed so stark?
Have you ever felt your heart so ache?

But the light that flows into these shadowlands
Only the passion of God could create
He will lift off your burden to let you stand
This is the peace for which we wait

Chorus:
Wake up, wake up, and sing a new song
Glory to God, here comes the True Dawn
Wake up, wake up, and sing a new song
