Lyrics:

Out of chaos comes creation; out of cynicism, hope
A living, breathing, testifying army comes from a pile of bones
A bunch of clay becomes a human; out of he, a she
He turns the mourning into dancing, as morning follows eve, morning follows eve

And He has reassured me, time and time again,
I cannot chase Him elsewhere, or scare off His right hand
And when I'm feeling dirty, and push everyone away,
He calms and cleans my spirit, and creates a brand new day

He doesn't answer every question; sometimes He seems to hide
But in the midst of every darkened valley, He'll be by your side
He pulls the peace out of confusion, faith in lieu of proof
And when the storm would send you sideways, He gives you deeper roots; He gives you deeper roots

And He has reassured me, time and time again,
I cannot chase Him elsewhere, or scare off His right hand
And when I'm feeling dirty, and push everyone away,
He calms and cleans my spirit, and creates a brand new day

And He has reassured me, time and time again,
I cannot chase Him elsewhere, or scare off His right hand
And when I'm feeling dirty, and push everyone away,
He calms and cleans my spirit, and creates a brand new day

Brand New Day

Good things : The chorus is spot on. Music works well with the fun atmosphere of the song. I envision you walking around in a tropical scene exploration the glory of God's creation. I love the transitions from verse to chorus. It is so unpredictable. Great work.

Things to work on : There are moments where it is hard to understand the many words. Most songs with a fast melody line make it hard to understand them. Maybe slow the tempo from 176 MM down to 160-165 MM and put a swing in the strum. Also the melody for the verse repeats the same musical line a lot. The chorus has a much better melody line. Maybe change up a few notes to add a variation during the verse.

Grace and peace, Derek
