Bring Him to me, the child of dedication;
My arms need to hold Him; your Son I must see
Israel's strength and the hope for every nation,
The Lord God Almighty has brought the Messiah to me

All of my life I have longed for consolation;
I have made righteousness my goal and prize
Now I can see, through holy revelation,
God is still faithful to me, I will peacefully die

I can peacefully go; my Salvation is here;

God has revealed the rising and the falling;
The nation He chose will be split down the side

Some will oppose Him and, sadly, in darkness will die

The mother of Christ would be wisely admonished--
The pathway you walk will not be free from pain

A sword from the darkness will slice through your soul;
The Son you watch living, you'll also watch die
But just like our ancestor, Job, from of old,
